About this team

The Store Development team spearheads the company’s brick & mortar growth through the acquisition, design and construction of new stores. While helping our organization expand its footprint across China, we are also responsible for keeping our internal stakeholders closely informed as we grow. 

A day in the life:

Whether in the office following up with ongoing negotiations or on the road in search of new locations, a lululemon Real Estate Manager can expect to deal with the following on a daily basis:

·       Leading multiple ongoing negotiations at any given time

·       Continuous relationship management with external business partners

·       Managing and motivating a tight-knit real estate team to deliver on stretch targets

·       Regular travel to scout for new store locations

·       Presenting the brand to less familiar external parties (landlords, developers, agents, consultants etc.)

·       Presenting projects internally (locally & at HQ level) for approval

·       Working closely with design, construction and all other departments involved in the store opening process

Qualifications:

·       Minimum 8 years relevant work experience, ideally within the real estate industry (i.e., landlord, developer, brand, agency, consultancy)

·       Excellent communication skills – verbal and written

·       Effective negotiation skills

·       Fluent English and Mandarin speaker  

·       University degree holder

Must haves:

·       Confident and persuasive presentation skills in both in English and Chinese

·       A tenacious negotiator, motivated by driving the best deal possible

·       An entrepreneurial spirit with the creativity to think outside of the box when expanding our business

·       Ability to stay cool and lead the team through any and all scenarios

·       Excellent organizational skills; able to manage a high-volume project-count under dynamic circumstances
