About the Team:
The Product Systems team supports lululemon’s commitment to elevate our guests experience through the strategic delivery of reliable and sustainable solutions from Product concept to Finished goods production.
Job Mandate:
As Solution Architect, you are responsible for maintaining the quality of the solution and assuring that the solution meets the owner requirements. You will be expected to operate at all levels, diving deep into the details while providing strategic inputs for the capabilities supported by your portfolio.
- Lead, design, and document the solution architecture required to support project deliverables.
- Document non-functional technical requirements (deployment, performance, recoverability, release management, capacity, monitoring).
- Determine and document the architectural decisions that constrain the design and implementation of a solution, such as selection of technology, design and delivery methodology, and programming language.
- Provide direction to the technical team during the development and delivery of the solution.
- Ensure the solution fits with the enterprise architecture principles and guidelines.
- Verify the content developed by the technical team during the development phase is compliant with the proposed solution architecture.
- Stays abreast of industry best practices, technologies, architectures, trends, emerging technologies and develop Proof-Of-Concept projects to validate same
- Drive common vision, practices and capabilities across teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Leads implementation of the new vendor B2B platform(Sourcing, forecast, PO management)
- Provide solutions in Supply Planning, Supplier Management, Quality Management, Order Processing
- Build System Context Diagram, Data Flow Diagram, Process-to-System Interaction Diagram, Data Model
- Participate in the development of system assurance and user acceptance testing plans.
- Participate in project planning and schedule development.
- Partner with Project Manager (PM) and Business Analyst (BA) in identifying project issues and risks, establishing contingency plans, and identifying triggering events for mitigating action.
- Partner with Technology & Business leadership on new Strategic initiatives (SIs)
- Participate in the evaluation and selection of software product standards, as well as the design of standard software configurations.
- Collaborate with Domain Architects to develop the technology “roadmap” (Business Initiative Roadmap) for the assigned business, and to plan the transition from the current architectural framework to the target architecture of the future. Ensures that business-level planning integrates with corporate strategic roadmap.
- Providing the Architectural direction for Cloud Integration application
Support Activities:
- Participates in all phases of projects including development, design, testing and production planning, reviewing and approving deliverables. This requires familiarity with programming languages, design paradigms, database technologies, cloud & infrastructure services and security practices.
- Provides input into Capability road map, architecture and engineering deliverables.
- Helps in hiring resources
- Advises and help implement industry best practices.
