about this team

The Operations Excellence function is lululemon's business transformation and tactical support office. The team provides transformational design, planning, and management support to enable the achievement of lululemon's longer-term strategic priorities and is also deployed to provide integrated operations and delivery support across the business. 

a day in the life

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Operations Excellence and partnering with colleagues across the business, the Manager, Operations Excellence plays a critical role in the operationalization of lululemon's strategic priorities through the planning, design, and implementation of large-scale transformation initiatives. This role drives change management, approach and planning, and implementation activities for these initiatives, leveraging standard tools and frameworks to ensure they are wildly successful. The Manager has experience in developing change management approaches and deliverables for transformation initiatives, from completing change impact assessments to establishing program structures to implementing change and sustainment activities, and is capable of working globally in a high-growth vertically integrated company. 
  • Manage complex work activities across large, cross-functional teams for transformation initiatives – lead change management, approach planning, and implementation activities to ensure strategic initiatives are completed on time and meet stated objectives
  • Develop change management approaches and complete and manage change management deliverables, including readiness assessments, stakeholder engagement, and sustainment
  • Support the establishment of lululemon's Transformation Management Office (TMO), including identifying cross-initiative dependencies, risks, and corresponding mitigation activities, particularly from a change management perspective
  • Refine existing change management frameworks, methodology, and tools
qualifications  
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, operations or related discipline; education or certification in change management preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in planning and delivering large-scale transformation programs, ideally in a change management role
  • Self-motivated, passionate, detail-oriented, multi-tasker extraordinaire who thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and root cause identification skills
  • Excellent communication skills - interpersonal, written, and verbal 
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn on the job - has a 'growth' mindset
  • Ability to influence and partner with others - a strong team player
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with different departments and at different levels within an organization
  • Demonstrates discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality 
  • Experience in management consulting and/or vertically integrated apparel is a plus
