A life in a day
Reporting to the Manager, Brand & Community Korea, this person is responsible for the public relations efforts of lululemon overseeing all facets of consumer and business facing outreach for brand, product and community. Main responsibilities for this position include development of strategic public relations plans, delivering successful results; liasing with Internal Communications; developing & managing all aspects of brand public relations including consumer media outreach and asset development and management of the public relations local market public relations agency relationships.


  • Working closely with the local brand and community manager, you are the lead in developing and executing integrated brand and product public relations strategies
  • You’re a key player on a talented team that is passionate about extending lululemon’s long-term brand equity and trust with media
  • You develop and lead on new and dynamic public facing initiatives that support the overarching goals of the organization in the areas of product innovation, education, and brand building
  • You create compelling product messaging, and use your strong media relations skills to coach company spokespersons
  • You partner with the local brand and community manger to foster and develop deep relationships with online and offline influencers, who are healthy, sweaty and mindful
  • You build and manage day-to-day authentic relationships with key media and industry influencers that result in authentic earned editorial
  • You work cross-functionally with other teams to support content generation, to ensure all written communication and imagery is consistent and in line with key brand message and strategy
  • You are responsible for media education experience including media events
  • You are responsible for regular updates, ongoing tracking and performance analysis
  • You are responsible for press asset development including press materials, bios, backgrounders, fact sheets and in-depth media list development
  • You are a key contact for agency relationships ensuring integration with the brand, setting strategy, overseeing project planning and execution are tactically executed
  • You support our communities in media outreach and strategic planning
  • You manage our product sample program – ordering, distributing and tracking
Qualifications:
  • You have 5+ years of dynamic and proven experience in public relations & social media
  • You have existing media relationship and strong understanding of the digital landscape
  • You are fluent in both Korean and English
  • PR experience within an influential sportswear, fashion, or retail organizations is a plus
  • Experience at a men’s brand or men targeted communications is also a plus.
  • You know what it means to build authentic and meaningful relationships with key media and influencers 
  • You have experience managing agency relationships
  • You are a strong writer and a storyteller: excellent at communication skills
  • Strengths in brand content development and production is a plus (brand communications materials, photography, social video, etc)
  • You quickly and easily develop relationships and people come to you for advice because they trust your opinion
  • Successful experience and proven ability to work well with others across the business in a matrix environment
  • An energetic, forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards
  • Capacity to work effectively with a wide range of people, build relationships
  • Ability to balance creativity, innovation and bottom line business needs
