About this team
The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer role is part of the Infrastructure Engineering and Cloud Platform Team. The Cloud Infrastructure team’s mandate is to provide tools and capabilities to the organization which allow easy, friction free adoption of cloud-based technologies, thereby helping to accelerate and elevate our partners on the cloud journey.
A day in the life:
The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will provide technical expertise to App Teams to facilitate deployment of cloud account strategies, cloud cost management strategies, landing zones and network connectivity. The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will play a critical role engineering optimal and sustainable cloud infrastructure.

- Contribute to the Cloud Platform Shared Services product roadmap, inclusive of Containerization, Logging, Monitoring, Alerting, Secrets Management, Artifactory
- Offer guidance in techniques including bulk application transfers into the cloud, containerization of applications, and deployment of greenfield / brownfield applications to cloud environments.
- In collaboration with the cloud platform, network, security and database teams, engineer and manage the monitoring infrastructure, from data collection to archiving (Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, ELK)
- Participate in design and integration of Hashicorp Vault Enterprise workflows with Kubernetes, Logging, Monitoring and Alerting and in lululemon's enterprise cloud platform services
- Work with consumers, both for understanding their requirements and for helping them onboard and make optimal use of the platform.
- Work within a cross-functional team of engineers to specify, design, develop, test, and implement cloud services and solutions
- Function as a subject matter expert to projects and implementations regarding DevOps, SRE, and Cloud Architecture.
- Programmatically automate routine cloud deployment, administration, and monitoring tasks
- Document tooling for use by engineers in the development, deployment, and operation of their services.
- Contribute to the tech community by studying evolving trends and share ideas that will power the next generation of the product
- Design and engineer with the application engineer in mind, making adoption easy.
- Respond to technical issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Identify and anticipate new tools and features which can be leveraged to successfully meet the strategic needs of the company.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent technical work experience
- 5+ years designing, executing, and supporting cloud-based solutions
- 2+ years Kubernetes experience
- 2+ years building and managing cloud monitoring infrastructure, such as Grafana, Prometheus, and Splunk
- 2+ years Vault Enterprise experience
- Able to design metrics, data collection and extraction methods that enable engineers & business to focus on relevant metrics.
- Experience using IaC to manage cloud resources
- Ability to demo cloud platform technology advances to application teams.
- Comprehensive experience with at least one major cloud service provider (AWS, Microsoft Azure)
- Strong, proactive communication skills (written and verbal) to properly articulate complex cloud reports to management and other IT development partners
- Ability to create clearly defined technical documentation (ex: Technical requirements, design documentation, Architectural review materials, technology guidelines and best practices)
