A day in the life:
Reporting to VP, HR Business Partnering International, you will bring our China talent strategy to life throughout the region. Driving strategic thought partnership with our Regional General Manager & regional leadership teams on talent practice that enable our growth goals. You will act as the connector with our centers of excellence throughout HR to develop proactive talent management.
· Speak the language of the business; understand all aspects its products, services, business models, market trends, measures and strategies & its competitive advantage. Leverage this deep business understanding to identify issues, diagnose root causes, provide insights, offer recommendations and develop proactive solutions to solve business objectives through talent lens.
· Partner with Leaders to understand strategy drivers of change. Proactively anticipate, lead, champion, and sponsor significant transformational initiatives to enable and/or implement sustainable change and drive business results. Proactively plan for talent implications (e.g. role design change, future capabilities required) & drive the right level of localization of talent strategy application, achieving the delicate balance between business needs and enterprise efficiency.
· Demonstrates leadership on all aspects of organizational effectiveness, including on-boarding, performance management, coaching, talent assessment & succession planning, & employee engagement.
· Partner with Business leaders, strategy and FP&A through annual planning processes to prepare for future capabilities and to inform talent implications of strategic goals/plans
· Leverage HR Center of Excellence (CoE) Partners to develop proactive talent management solutions including; workforce planning & organizational design, succession planning, and performance management. Supports leaders to easily align people & work to achieve business outcomes.
· Lead regional strategy and navigate the healthy tension/balance between business objectives, regional goals and roles of the CoEs. Provide insights and feedback to CoEs, represent voice of the business to P&C and voice of P&C to the business.
· Lead all P&C Business Partnering and generalist support for the China Region. Indirectly lead the regional P&C team to develop regional talent strategy in support of regional goals. As the on the ground leader, rallying and supporting the team in delivery of regional goals.
· Bring strategic workforce planning to life: anticipate future workforce needs, based on growth, business strategy, retention & internal succession, ensures a continuous supply of the right talent, both externally and internally.
· Monitor internal engagement metrics to ensure core behaviors and mindsets are embodied and actively fostered by leaders.
· Influence and coach leaders on key P&C and business issues as well as how to attract, select, develop, manage, and retain the best talent to drive results. Support the acquisition of VP+ talent including a positive candidate experience, offer & onboarding
Qualifications:
· 12+ years’ experience in an HR Business Partner role.
· Demonstrates expert understanding of the business strategies and operations. Subject matter expert and teaches full range of core P&C functional concepts internally (Org Effectiveness work at individual, team, and organizational levels; Change Management; Talent Assessment and Diversity & Inclusion Principles).
· Significantly influences functional strategy using data and insights; may participate in the development of the business strategy.
· Strong data analysis skills; can leverage quantitative and qualitative data to enable informed decision making.
· Ability to build strong personal relationships of trust and can be relied on to do what is promised.
· True Coach & trusted partner with skills to support leaders to lead from clarity.
· Workforce productivity and org effectiveness management.
· Experience in project management that included stakeholder engagement and program execution and change management.
· Strong leadership development skill; coach and trusted advisor
· Ability to influence & to proactively shape the ideas & agendas of stakeholders and credible activism/advocacy.
· Two-way advocate – ability to stand in resistance when required
· Apply strong analytical skills and attention to detail to understand complex problems and root causes, leveraging quantitative and qualitative data to develop insights, guide decisions, and formulate solutions
